Which alarm system should I select?

It's your choice. Any of these kits will get a basic alarm system up and running. The kit 1 does not come with a keypad or touch panel. You will only be able to use a mobile device to arm/disarm that system. The kit 2 comes with a numerical keypad, and the kit 3 comes with a color touchscreen plus a home automation z-wave card built into it. This 3rd kit is best for people wanting lighting control or other smart home features.

Does an alarm kit come with everything I need?

All the kits come with the basic alarm system to protect 2-3 doors or windows and then a single motion detector. If you want additional windows and doors covered on your property, then you would need to purchase additional sensors to cover those windows or doors. That option is available after you select an alarm kit to purchase. Also, additional smoke, carbon monoxide or environmental sensors can also be added if you wish to monitor those activities.

Do I have to add extra alarm sensors?

You do not have to purchase additional sensors to complete our checkout process or to build an alarm system BUT, if you have more than 2-3 doors or windows on your property, those areas will not be covered by the alarm system purchased. Assume that risk yourself. We recommend purchasing a sensor for every single window or door that opens on the property.

Who will configure this system?

Our expert team of onboarding specialists will configure your system completely and ship it to you, ready to quickly install. Your mobile app will be setup and you will receive a welcome email from Alula, your alarm system manufacture. They will ask you to download their app to use your alarm system.

What is the self-monitoring option?

Self monitoring does not come with a central monitoring station to call emergency services in the event of an emergency. Instead, your system comes with a siren to warn you of intruders. Any mobile devices will also receive alerts, or you can setup emails to send to guard services. Either way, it will be up to you to respond to the event or call emergency services.

How can I add central monitoring to the purchased alarm system?

During the checkout process, you will be asked to add self or central station monitoring. Either service can be paid for monthly or annually at that time. The alarm system requires monthly service to use the mobile app for arming/disarming the system. Their fee also covers Verizon cell service which is built into every system. This is how the system communicates to the mobile app and central station.

Central station monitoring is a service provided by Rapid Response monitoring, which is purchased through Briva Alarm on a monthly basis. They contact emergency services anytime your alarm system experiences an event..

What are my installation options for the alarm system?

The most simple option is self installation. Our onboarding team configures the system, and plugs in all the cables before shipping it to you. That way when you receive it, all the cables are plugged into the alarm system and the other end has labels of where to plug them.

There is only an ethernet cable to plug into your internet router, and then 2 power cables to plug into the wall electrical outlet. Afterwards you would stick the alarm sensors up around the property on the doors, windows or walls where needed. Everything else is already completed beforehand, so the system is ready to go.

Does Envoy offer professional installation for my alarm system?

Yes, during the checkout process, you can select professional installation to purchase. If you chose not to purchase that service, all required help videos, manuals and remote tech support you need will be provided instead. The self-installation process is simple and only takes a few minutres.

How do I schedule my installation?

After the checkout process, you will be instructed to log into your customer portal. Inside there, it will guide you through the process of scheduling a technician. You can also always call our main number to speak to a live person and request a time.

What is the cancellation policy?

You may cancel your order at any time prior to installation or shipment of your equipment. Once your equipment ships, it has been configured and modified. It can no longer be returned to the manufacturer at that point. It takes about 3 days for your products to ship. So generally you have about 3 days to cancel after purchase, sometimes more.

After shipment, there are no refunds or exchanges. The manufacture holds the warranty on the equipment, not Briva.

How long is the equipment warrantied for?

The manufacturers warranty their equipment for 1 year from the time of purchase. It does not cover mishandling of the equipment, vandalism or damage from weather related incidents. In the event of a warranty claim, you will only need to contact Briva.

How do I submit my equipment for warranty exchange or repair?

Contact us by going to the support section under contact us. We offer support for defective equipment during normal business hours 9am-6pm central standard time. You can also email team@brivaalarm.com for support.
